I was pleasantly surprised by the book. I enjoyed learning about the history of an 800 year old war and how it affects those living under the stress of conflict. Add in the human interest that the author provides and it was a very enjoyable, defintely readable book. What I particularly enjoyed was how the author painted a very picturesque story of Northern Ireland and its citizens.Product details

For anyone interested in the conflict in the North of Ireland, this is the book for you. In fact, anyone who likes Ireland, check this out. The book is well-written and the story wonderfully told. I couldn't put it down! The romance was terrfic and the sex HOT! This is one of the best, most accurate "Belfast" books I've read in years. GET IT!
Monty Miles has truly captivated me in this historical fiction novel. The book reaches out to all audiences in a way similar to Titanic It's a romance that takes place in the midst of danger. Having visted Belfast myself, I can strongly relate to the characters and situations throughout the novel. If you want to learn about historical and current events concerning Ireland while being highly entertained and enthralled, this is the book for you!

I just finished reading the book last night. When it had arrived I thought when will I find the time to read a 630 plus page book. Not here, not in my everyday life, for sure on a vacation. Yikes!! I'll get to it when I can or on my next trip. It was brilliant!! I plowed threw it like a fever. I couldn't put it down, I kept wanting to know more about each and everyone of the characters. I picked it up on a Monday and read like a maniac, finished in 2 1/2 days. Being Irish and really not understanding the killings in Ireland, I think that this author brought it home in a love story for land and man. Great read. My husband is reading it now.
Great read! I just couldn't put it down. It's a wonderful love story and history lesson all in one. I learned a lot about the troubles in Ireland and the writer made me feel like I had lived through it myself. It's a must read!!
